Telegram Stars are becoming a must-have for gamers aiming to make the most of their tap-to-earn adventure.

Unlike before, projects now offer premium prizes that require Stars, and will become a key criterion for airdrop eligibility.

Wondering how to buy Stars or looking for the best way to do it?

In this post, I explain how to buy Stars cheaper either with Naira or TON.

Post Summary

Let’s go!

What is Telegram Star?

Telegram Star is the in-app virtual currency used to access a variety of opportunity within Telegram. It is used for the following:

  • Make in-app Purchases: You can use Stars to buy digital products and services offered on Telegram.

For example, purchasing items like Restoring Charges, Paint Cans, and TNT with Stars helps you maximize your airdrop points in Not Pixel.

  • Support Creators: Stars offer content creators on Telegram a new way to generate revenue.

If you enjoy updates from a channel, you can show appreciation by sending Stars to the creators.

  • Unlock Premium Features: Some Telegram bots and channels offer exclusive tasks with enticing prizes, like those featured on Memefi, that can only be unlocked by spending Stars

Let’s see how to buy Telegram Stars!

Buy Stars with Fiat: Naira and Other Local Currencies

There are two main ways to buy Stars with your local currency.

Both options let you purchase Stars directly from your bank account using a credit or debit card.

– Telegram App

Telegram stars can be purchased directly from the Telegram app with your local currency.

Here is how to go about it:

  • Open your Telegram app and go to “Settings”
  • Scroll down to my “My Stars” and open it
  • Tap Buy “More Stars,” select the package you want to purchase and proceed to make payment.

The smallest package at the time of writing is 100 Stars sold for 3,600 Naira. Note that this price may be reviewed over time.

But you can buy it for much less than the price on Telegram. Keep reading for more details.

– PremiumBot

Buy Telegram Stars from PremiumBot

The PremiumBot is another place to buy Telegram Stars.

  • Open the bot on Telegram using this link
  • Click on “Start” to activate the bot
  • Click the “Menu” button and  “/stars”
  • Select “Buy Telegram Stars,” select the package you want to purchase and proceed to make payment.

Unfortunately, iPhone users cannot use PremiumBot, as it is only available for Android and desktop users.

Telegram vs. PremiumBot: Which is Cheaper for Buying Stars with Naira?

Although both options allow you to buy Stars with fiat, they offer different rates, with one being much lower than the other.

PremiumBot is the cheapest place to buy Stars with Naira, as it offers over a 16% discount.

See the price list for each option below.

  • Telegram (Price list)
  • PremiumBot (Pricemlist)

On top of that, PremiumBot includes more Star package choices than Telegram.

Now, buying Stars with Fiat is ideal if you’re new to crypto or simply in the space for Telegram games.

It is also the best option if you do not yet hold TON in your wallet.

However, if you are looking for the cheapest way to buy Stars, use TON crypto. l will explain how in the next section.

The Cheapest Way to Buy Telegram Stars with TON

The cheapest way to buy Stars is with TON.

Telegram Stars can be purchased with TON through the Fragment DApp (Decentralized Application).

Fragment

 Fragment

Fragment is a decentralized marketplace built on the TON blockchain, specifically designed for buying and selling Telegram’s digital collectibles.

To buy Stars with TON, do the following:

  • Open your Tonkeeper or any TON wallet browser and search for Fragment, or visit the platform directly here.
  • Connect your TON wallet
  • Navigate to “Stars,” and choose Buy Telegram Stars
  • Enter your Telegram username, and select the package you want to buy

Click the buy button, and once the transaction is confirmed, your Stars will be sent to your Telegram.

In the above screenshot, you can see that 100 Stars on Fragment are sold for 0.3 TON, equivalent to $1.4 at TON’s current price of $4.6 as of November 11, 2024.

This is significantly cheaper than Telegram’s price of ₦3,600 or PremiumBot’s price of ₦2,999 for the same 100 Stars.

      Hi Charles,

When you upload your details or documents for verification, platforms typically require some time to process and confirm your credentials. In some cases, the verification process can take up to three days. I recommend giving it a bit more time.

Fragments is now asking for KYC? Complete scam

Hi Precious, the compulsory KYC is a new policy recently introduced by Fragment.
The reason for this change isn’t clear, but it doesn’t affect the platform’s safety. Instead, it’s simply an update to their policy.

The TON Daily on Telegram shed light on this issue. Check it out here.
