Paxful is a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Bitcoin exchange platform that was launched in 2015.lt is very similar to LocalBitcoins and Remitano. I have reviewed LocalBitcoins and Remitano and even Compared them two in the past. Today I am going to review Paxful and compare it with LocalBitcoins and Remitano.

Paxful like LocalBitcoin use an escrow to connect buyers and sellers from around the world to trade bitcoin. The only region where Paxful does not render their service is the state of New York as they were not able to obtain the BitLicense in New Yock.

How Legit is Paxful? – Can I get Scammed?

Yes, you can lose your money to a user on Paxful if you don’t take precaution. A lot of users on different forums have wrongly accused Paxful of getting scammed – it’s not really their fault-. The truth Is that Paxful provides a platform for users to trade Bitcoin directly with one another. They do their best to provide security and fairness through the escrow system. However, you are buying or selling bitcoins to individuals who might not be trustworthy. These scammers have found a way to tricking individuals to send them their bitcoins or money without an exchange. Someone on Bitcointalk wrote a post on how these scammers operate. Click here to read. I advise you read the post, also make sure check off the guide below;

  • Make sure you activate the 2 Factor Authentication on your account
  • Only complete a transaction with a user who is online
  • Never release payment from the escrow unless you have confirmed the receipt of your payment.

Paxful is a legit Platform, however your need to follow the above precautions not to get scammed by users.

Paxful Vs LocalBitcoins Vs Remitano – Which is a better platform?

These three platforms work basically the same way. Maybe a little difference. A user can get scammed on any of the three platforms pretty much the same way by another user. The choice of which of the platforms to use is on an individual basis; you have to consider country of availability, payment method most suited to you, price overview on each platform and finally the user you feel comfortable to sell to or buy from. Visit Paxful, LocalBitcoins or Remitano to see for yourself. All the best.
